Just a note to tell you how much I appreciate you.  What a difference you make in the lives of my kids at Welsh High.  Probably the greatest compliment I can give you is the fact that the kids are not “hung up” on you – they are “hung up” on God because of you.

Thank you for your wonderful “Edge-U-Cater” program this year.  As usual, it was very uplifting and gratifying to our teachers.  Keep up the great work!!

Pat Deshotel, principal of Welsh High School

Dear Brother Cliff,

Thank you so much for coming out to camp last Saturday and speaking to our youth.  I heard nothing but great comments from the youth as well as the adults.

You are a very special person, and I so much admire you for the life you’ve chosen to live.  May our God, and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you and yours always.

I am proud to call you my friend.

Sincerely,
Will Arnold, Boy Scouts of America Director

“Behind The Scenes” was a wonderful experience.  I was overwhelmed by the support given teachers from both parents and students.  After the program, I felt refreshed and appreciated knowing my work behind the scenes does not go unnoticed.

Thanks again,
Peggy Ardoin, teacher at Jennings Elementary

...I was watching the graduation for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation.  You have an exceptional talent for making people feel good…whether it’s laughter, self-esteem or deep soul-searching.

Karen Miller, teacher at Jeff Davis Vocational Technical School, Morgan-Smith Campus

I can’t tell you how great I felt today watching a wish of mine finally come true.  I do think our kids truly deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments.  It seems we often overlook the good and get bogged down with the negative things our young people are doing.  I know today’s awards were nothing fantastic, but it was an attempt to honor our kids.  Without a parent organization or better facilities a more extravagant program is extremely difficult.  The students and teachers were all pleased with today’s presentations.  (The teachers and kids expecially enjoyed Cliff’s humor).  It could not have been done without your generous gift of your time.

Thanks so much for your help and see you next six weeks!

With great appreciation,
Uvonne Domingue, teacher at Jennings Elementary

Your Teacher Appreciation night was, again, filled with joy, fellowship, and a sense of renewing.  Everyone there felt a renewed sense of being and I truly believe each one was touched in their own special way.  Teaching seems to get a little more challenging and demanding and boy, do we ever need those special moments to feel needed and appreciated.

It was obvious that a tremendous amount of preparation was involved and I appreciate everything that was done.  It was perfect!

Kathy Briggs, teacher at Jennings High School

From the bottom of my heart…Thank you!  I really appreciate you taking time out of your busy day (especially at the last minute) to speak to our kids.  You simply had them captivated!!  Us adults, too!!

Thank you again,
Madelyn Benoit, Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Local school volunteer, Clifton LeJeune, was honored by the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana (A+PEL) at the Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge.  Mr. LeJeune was honored for his volunteer work at Northside Junior High.

Throughout the past school year, Clifton LeJeune diligently donated his time, gifts and talents, not only to Northside Junior High School, but also other area schools.  To name a few of his contributions, he was a motivational speaker at LEAP & IOWA Test rallies, spoke at the DARE graduation ceremony, hosted an awards assembly at West End Elementary, and each week, he facilitated a Bible study at Welsh High School.  At the reginal and state levels, he was motivational speaker at the FCCLA rallies.  One highlight was when he served as host commentator for the 6th grade Mini Olympics.  He also chaperoned numerous field trips and dances, having eagerly helped with every aspect of the Valentine’s Day dance.  He not only participates, but he often plans the activities.

Clifton LeJeuen clearly shows his appreciation of teachers.  Each year when he plans a spectacular evening at his church, he insists that teachers be treated as queens and kings.  He acknowledges the obstacles, heartaches, trials, and tribulations that teachers must face on a daily basis, and he credits them with making a difference in the lives of students.  After leaving the service, teachers return to school with renewed energy, hope, and dreams.

Every day he spends at a school lends itself to some wonderful memories.  Just watchin the students’ faces when he’s been able to affect them in some way gives him satisfaction.  When asked what volunteering means to him, Clifton says, “I’ve always believed in giving without expecting reciprocity.  Jeff Davis Parish has been so wonderful to me.  I wanted to give something in return.  I love working with children and I love the public education system.”

Marcia Koopmann, teacher at Ward Elementary

Thank you so much for showing your appreciation in such a special way.  I love the CD’s and the magnet.  I pray that I have touched some children’s lives and made a difference.

I’ve heard you speak at our faculty inservice, DARE graduation, and Wednesday night service at the Methodist church.  Thank you for the positive influence you have on others.  God bless you and your ministry.

Mr. LeJeune,

I wanted to thank you again for speaking to our parish FCCLA group.  I heard so many positive remarks from my students.  I wish many more could have been there.  I appreciate both you and Paula’s sincere efforts in working with our youth.  The need is there and I am so happy there are people like you both to help them through difficult times.  Thank you again for your time.

Dear Mr. LeJeune,

Thank you so much for being our guest speaker for the Allen Parish 4-H Leader Appreciation Banquet.  Your speech on the “The Wisest Bird” was just right for the occasion.  This years’ banquet was one of the best attended, and it was also one everyone enjoyed!  We are still getting lots of positive feedback on the banquet!  Some who were unable to attend have stated their regrets on having missed hearing you!

Hope you have a great day!  Thank you again for your support of Allen Parish 4-H program and for the many miles you put in on our behalf.

Sincerely,
Drusilla Le Vrier
Extension Agent (4-H)

 Dear Rev. LeJeune,

On behalf of myself and the Employees of American Bank I would like to thank you for coming to give us an impressive motivational speech that was very well received by all.

We found your speech inspirational and informative and also I think we took a look at ourselves to see how we could improve not only in our jobs but in our personal life as well.

Everyone enjoyed listening to you and from the responses I received from the Employees, we are moving forward in a positive direction with more emphasis on TEAM WORK than ever before.

“You Know”!

Dear Clifton,

Thank you so much for coming to our Leadership Excel graduation and delivering such a powerful message.  Your main thrust wrapped up what we have been encouraging the class members to do all year.  I’m sure they will remember and I hope, apply these ideas to their personal and professional lives.

We appreciate your giving of your time to be with us.

When our agenda is complete for 07-08, I will certainly send you one.

Again, thank you.

Sincerely,
Peggy Sardindle
Coordinator of Excel Program
