WOMEN’S CONNECTION
Proverbs 31:31, “Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
At Jesus Worship Center, we recognize that today’s woman is not only unique and multi-talented, but as diverse as we are alike. We do it all. While we face many challenges and opportunities in our daily lives, we continue to work in and out of the home, we teach, we network, we reach out… Multi-tasking?? We invented the idea.
It is our desire to tap into the myriad of talents, gifts, abilities, and experiences to help meet the needs of others in the body of Christ and to further the Kingdom of God. We seek to build trust, reliability, spiritual growth, love, understanding, and encouragement in each member. We feel we can do this in several ways. First, by connecting women to God through small, common interests groups. During the year when the children are in school, we meet in homes throughout our community on different days and times to pray and study God’s word as it pertains to our lives.
Secondly, by connecting women to the church in the area of service for such things as ministering to the hurting and the bereaved members of the church as well as the community. We participate in the visitation of homebound individuals both in the home and in care facilities, such as the V.A. Home and the local nursing homes.
Thirdly, by connecting women to women in all seasons of life by fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging, and purpose. This is accomplished by networking together to organize events and fundraisers for not only women, but the entire church membership. We also have many social events for women throughout the year as well as participate in other retreats, seminars, and conferences in our district.
All of our women’s groups, programs, and events are designed to help women wholeheartedly follow Jesus Christ. If you have any ideas for a women’s event or would just like to plug in to what’s already going on, please feel free to contact me at bjayelle@aol.com.
